What began as a rough idea for a simple spiral light became a school of 72 fish, each formed from demitasse spoons and cocktail forks, each individually hung by two lengths of nylon monofilament. Installed above the caviar tasting table at Petrossian New York, the interlocked pieces undulate together giving the illusion of a living, swimming school. The monofilament acts as fiber optics, casting secondary and tertiary spirals of light above the fish.
